We're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at our demo project, an escape VR experience developed entirely in-house.

The blockout of our exterior scene

Our focus today is the blockout of our exterior scene in Unreal Engine 5. A blockout is a rough 3D draft that helps us get an initial sense of proportions, atmosphere, performance and gameplay flow. It's part of the concept phase and can still be adapted quickly and cost-effectively at this stage.

The exterior scene is inspired by a German city, maybe you can guess which one. The city layout is based on the dataset of GEOportal.NRW. So enjoy the screenshots.
